Doing Business in China

BUSINESS without BORDERS presents its fourth special event open exclusively to our members. “Doing Business in China” will examine the opportunities, hazards and headaches of expanding your activities into the Middle Kingdom. This event will be held first in Vancouver on February 22 and then repeated in Toronto on February 25. The events start with a free hot buffet breakfast, followed by a panel discussion led by Steve Maich, editor of Canadian Business magazine. On the panel will be Pat Bell, minister of forests, mines and land; Zhi Ming-zhang, head of global research for HSBC’s China operations; Francis Chung, regional head of HSBC Global Asset Management; Duncan Innes-Ker, senior China editor and economist for the Economist Intelligence Unit; and Sarah Kutulakos, executive director of the Canada China Business Council.

As with all events, Doing Business in China is free for members of Business without Borders, and joining BwoB is also free. Click here visit the Events page to learn about this month’s valuable experience.

Shaoye Dai I was put in the waitlist but received an email later welcoming me join the event. What does it mean? In my profile, I am still in the waitlist. May I come?

Norman Damaren I had enrolled earlier as a new member of Business Without Borders and assumed I was automatically registered for the Doing Business in China event to be held on February 25th in Toronto. I am told that I am now on a waiting list. Is there a way this can be rectified and allow me the opportunity to participate. I need to plan ahead and the sooner it can be confirmed, the better. Thanks
